UBM India to Launch 4th Edition of Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair 2015 (DJGF), hosted by UBM India, will take place at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 26th to 28th September 2015. The show is recognised as an integral part of the jewellery industry by associations and the industry at large with support from eminent associations namely, The Bullion & Jewellers Association, Karol Bagh Jewellers Association, Delhi Jewellers Association, and Maliwara Jewellers Association.
With over 270 participating exhibitors, the show has truly evolved as the biggest jewellery and gemstone sourcing destination for jewellers with international participants from Dubai, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. Exhibitors this year include jewellery manufacturers namely, Bhindi Jewellers, Chain - N - Chains, Damara, Dhirsons Diamonds, Fine Jewels, Haryana Jewellers, Itan Jewels, Jaipur Ratna, Jewellery Machinery Association, Jindal Jewellers, Kishore Motiwala, N.D Diamonds, Naulakha Jewellers, P.C Totuka, Rohtak Chains, Royal Chains, Swarnsarita, Swarnshilpi, Tatiwalas Gehna, Unique Jewels, WBIDC amongst others.

As a curtain raiser, UBM India staged a series of successful road shows at various cities like Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Yamunanagar, Meerut, Kanpur, Ambala and Ganganagar.

Speaking on the ever-growing prospects of the jewellery industry in North India, Yogesh Mudras, Acting Managing Director, UBM India Pvt. The three-day trade fair will also witness the Retail Jewellers Guild Awards, a unique initiative honouring excellence in the retail jewellery business. The award aims to promote talent and recognise contribution of retailers from across the country. The awards night will also include the launch of the India's Retail Jewellery Companies Publication, which will provide a 10 year outlook on the industry with key insights and trends.

Other features of the event include a Fashion Show, showcasing unique jewellery designs and Jewellery Design Awards, providing an opportunity to young budding jewellery designers to participate and showcase their talents at the show. Jewellery Designing Institutes will also be acknowledged and certificates accompanied with cash prizes will be rewarded to the winners as part of the fashion show evening.
