THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, Kerala: The Clint Memorial International Online Paining Competition for Children, probably the only major online painting competition for children that has ever taken place, has gathered a huge response from the public. Just three weeks to closure, the competition, organized by Kerala Tourism, has received entries from all over the world.
The competition, named after the Indian child prodigy, Edmund Thomas Clint, who died three decades ago, is an online competition which offers generous prizes (like free trips to Kerala for winners and parents from any part of the world) in addition to several other exciting prizes. Prizes are also on offer for volunteers who promote this competition.
A short film on Clint and his works, created especially for this competition, has become a major hit on YouTube, Face book and other social media channels. It has also been reliably learnt that Holly wood Actor, Clint Eastwood, whose name was given to the child prodigy, saw the documentary film on Clint's work by noted film maker, Sivakumar at an international film festival and was so impressed that he sent a personal message to Clint's parents after he learnt of the young artist's untimely passing.
The International Online Painting Competition for Children closes on May 31, 2014, and the winners, both among participants and promoters, are being offered prizes of free trips to Kerala. Invis Multimedia, the IT consultant and solution provider of Kerala Tourism is the official agency for oganising international online painting Competition for children.
