HONG KONG: FleishmanHillard (FH) today announced the promotion of Yusuf Hatia to the position of managing director, India. Hatia is a founding team member of FleishmanHillard in India and joined the firm in 2007 as the agency was entering the market with its first office in Mumbai.
Hatia is now responsible for overseeing all of the firm's India offices. He will set the strategic direction for the agency while continuing to provide the high-level strategic communications counsel to corporations and organizations for which he is well-known.

Hatia, based in Mumbai, was previously managing director of client service, India. Before that, he was the managing director of FH's Mumbai office. He has provided strategic communications advice to a broad range of clients.
Hatia also heads the agency's Majlis offering, a specialty service created to assist corporations looking to build and protect their reputation with the Muslim community. He brings an international perspective to all his engagements, having worked previously in the United Kingdom and the Middle East.
