The Highlight of the India Adda at Davos 2013: IBEF

PR Newswire | 11 Jan, 2013
DAVOS, Switzerland and NEW DELHI: India Brand Equity Foundation (http://www.ibef.org) will be at its India Adda hosting the INDIAFRICA: A Shared Future programme at the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) at Davos later this month. A Government of India initiative, INDIAFRICA programme has events spread out over three days, from 23 - 25 January 2013, of the Annual Meeting.

From an engaging luncheon session, digital display of winners of poster design and photography competition, to a musical performance by leading Indian and African bands - the India Adda has a packed calendar with something to offer everyone.

The India Adda, set up for the entire duration of the Annual Meeting at Davos, 23rd - 27th January 2013, will have INDIAFRICA programme as a dominant feature in the numerous activities and events taking place at the India Adda for this year.

The grand opening of the INDIAFRICA programme coincides with the opening day of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum, i.e. the 23rd January 2013. The INDIAFRICA opening reception planned for 6:30 - 8:00 PM at the India Adda will witness a musical medley by Rahul Ram and Tuheen Chakravarty of popular fusion band Indian Ocean with Aaron Bebe Sakura, an accomplished musician from Ghana.

A digital display of the winning entries of the poster design and photography competition around the INDIAFRICA event would take place at the India Adda on the second day of the Annual Meet, i.e. 24th January 2013, beginning 10 AM.

On the third day, 25th January 2013, an interactive luncheon session - INDIAFRICA: The Spirit of Enterprise - will be held from 12 - 2 pm at the India Adda. The session will feature presentations by two winners of the INDIAFRICA business venture competition and Young Visionary fellowships. Ms Neelam Chibber, WEF Indian Social Entrepreneur of the Year (2011), will share her experience of working across Africa and a leading African CEO will also talk of his India experience.

Besides these three days, the India Adda, the only country hub of its kind, is open from January 23 - 27, 2013 for the duration of the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum. Conversations and views exchanged over a myriad issues are spontaneous here...all over delectable Indian culinary delights, made possible by ITC Hotels. The theme of the cuisine this year draws inspiration from the newly opened, iconic ITC Grand Chola in Chennai and its diversity of culinary offerings.
