NEW DELHI: To demonstrate how mobile phones are taking over the internet and how mobile SEO, mobile website design and mobile web development is the future, India's leading IT firm in this business, EZ Rankings IT Services held a workshop on the front at their headquarters in New Delhi on July 10. And EZ Rankings IT Services is well up to the challenge for we have the requisite knowhow to make your presence felt on the mobile space," said EZ Rankings IT Services' Managing Partner Mansi Rana. Mansi had organised the workshop to emphasise on the need for all online businesses to go mobile.

One of the participants in the workshop, Paras Bhatnagar said, "Google is taking a strict stand on mobile SEO and will soon begin demoting sites in mobile search results if they are not mobile-friendly or misconfigured."

"This is where the challenge lies. Not only are these guidelines time and money consuming, but they are also wide-ranging. That's why the need for such workshops," added Tej Singh, Marketing Manager with EZ Rankings IT Services.

After mobile SEO, the discussion moved to mobile website design. There were talks about how there has been a 50% rise in traffic from mobile devices and how websites need to be designed as per the convenience of these users. "Mobile website design is not just about minimising a website, but also improving the content to increase conversions on mobile platforms. You need to say a lot within a space constraint and in limited number of words," quipped Rajveer Chauhan, an attendee.

Yet another round of discussion happened on mobile web development, during which Sonam Garg from EZ Rankings IT Services gave tips about how to make mobile websites more effective. Shivangi Gupta from EZ Rankings IT Services further added making the text contextually relevant holds the key. Use of iPads, iPhones and android phones mean you need efficient mobile web development tools such as Divvy (a window management system), iWebKit (for developing apps for iPhones and iPads), etc to make your mobile website not only look good but also easy to navigate.

The workshop concluded after a Q&A session in which all the modalities and niggles of the 'mobile' shift were discussed.
