Strata Geosystems (India) Pvt. Ltd. Receives CE Mark Along With IRC Accreditation

MUMBAI: Strata Geosystems (India) Pvt. Ltd. announced that 'StrataGrid' is now not only a CE certified product but also accredited by the Highway Research Board of Indian Road Congress.

The certification was issued by the "ENTE CERTIFICAZIONE MACCHINE" in Italy for high-tenacity polyester geogrids manufactured by Strata at its plant at Daman, India and allows the product to be sold in the European market.

CE marking is mandatory for certain product groups. This is to ensure that the product adheres to health, safety and environment standards laid down by the European Union's directives, and henceforth provides access to StrataGrid within the European market.

In addition to evaluation from international and Indian laboratories for all performance parameters, the CE marking assures Strata's ongoing compliance with globally recognized standards for quality management, which is intended to increase customer satisfaction.

With the attainment of a CE mark, the company not only has a better understanding of the needs of the Indian and European market, but is also actively working on the market acceptance of StrataGrid in those countries.

The Indian Roads Congress (IRC) is the premier technical body of Highway Engineers in India. The committee involved in the accreditation given by the Highway Research Board of Indian Roads Congress includes experts from the road and bridge sector in India like Central Road Research Institute (CRRI); Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MORTH); National Highways Authority of India (NHAI); National Rural Road Development Agency (NRRDA), Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Border Roads Organization  (BRO), Military Engineering Services (MES), State PWDs; Highways Research Station (HRS), Chennai; Gujarat Engineering Research Institute (GERI), Vadodara, IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, National Highways Builders Association (NHBF) and Consulting Engineering Association of India (CEAI).

"Strata India has always emphasized on quality, in line with the commitment of delivering exceptional performance towards customer satisfaction. We adhere to manufacturing standards strictly and upgrade quality continuously through R&D. Receiving the CE marking and IRC accreditation, together with it's ISO Certification 2008-9001, further validates our philosophy," said Narendra Dalmia, CEO and Director.

The company is now also actively working on the market acceptance of their proposed solutions.
