NEW DELHI: A Tamil book on the Honourable President of India, Shri. Pranab Mukherjee, translated from English, was launched at Rashtrapati Bhavan on December 11, 2012 by the President. The first copy was received by Mr. Raja Sundar Singh, Mr. Sam Prasad and Mr. Arul, Directors of Eagle Press Publications - the Chennai-based publisher of the book.
The release function coincided with the 78th birthday celebrations of President Shri. Pranab Mukherjee and took place around 12 noon at Rashtrapathi Bhavan. Former Union Minister Shri. E. Ponnuswamy delivered the welcome address and the directors of Eagle Press Publications honoured the president with garland, shawl and memento. Mr. Sam Prasad rendered the Vote of Thanks.

Compiled by Mr. Sukhendu Sekhar Roy in English (as: Pranab Mukherjee-78, the all season man), the Tamil version was released with the title 'Maamanidhar Pranab Mukherjee - Panmuga Saadhanaiyaalar'. The book also features the president's life history and 330 rare photographs capturing significant moments of his political life, all 312 pages finest quality multi-colour art paper and attractively designed.
