PARIS: Oberthur Technologies' innovative products and solutions have
been recognized by the industry with four nominations in the prestigious
Sesames Awards, which reward the latest innovations for the digital security
and smart card industries. The Sesames will be held during the Cartes
exhibition on the 6th of December 2010 in Paris.
Gaining more Sesames nominations than any other player in the
industry, Oberthur Technologies has been selected in the Software, IT
Security, Transportation and Mobility categories.
Software
With the Full Secure Services Management solution, the
identity and applications of a smartphone user are stored in a secure
microSD. When the user changes his smartphone he immediately recovers access
to his services via a full device update based on the microSD record.
IT Security
ID-One Cosmo microSD is a Java Card open platform certified EAL5+ and
FIPS 104-2 Level 3, and is accessible from a physical microSD device.
This innovation enables the download of authentication services, digital
signature, and data cryptography from mobile terminals such as smartphones or
tablets. ID-One Cosmo microSD supports all standards of applications
including IAS-ECC (European Citizen Card) or PIV (Personal Identity
Verifier).
Transportation
Voox directly integrates a contactless antenna inside the card's contact
module. This innovation significantly enhances the robustness and reliability
of dual interface cards while having a lower impact on the environment.
Mobility
Oberthur Technologies' NFC Now offer is a complete and turnkey solution
allowing the rapid deployment of mobile contactless services such as payment,
transport and loyalty programs. It has already been selected by four major
actors participating in the first commercial deployment in France, "Nice, NFC
City".
"Innovation is at the heart of our strategy and we
continuously reinforce our R&D capability. Being nominated for four Sesames
is a great achievement and we are proud of this recognition by the industry.
These innovations will act as the platform to create new business
opportunities for our customers" commented Thomas Savare, CEO of Oberthur
Technologies.
