NEW YORK: UBM India and Computer Security Institute (CSI) jointly announce Randolph Smith, Information Security Professional, United Parcel Service, as the 2010 Keynote speaker for the inaugural India Computer Security Conference 2010 (ICSC 2010). The conference will be held December 15-16, 2010 at The Westin Mumbai, Garden City, Mumbai, India.
Mr. Smith is responsible for enterprise security policy, strategy and architecture at United Parcel Service. Mr. Smith has served UPS in many capacities during a career spanning thirty-six years. He has managed highly visible projects in industrial engineering, line operations, information services, and telecommunications. His extensive involvement in the practice of information security at UPS includes policy and standards development, data classification, customer assurance, vendor contract negotiations, web application vulnerability scanning and remediation, firewall management, risk analysis, strong authentication and network controls. He is the principal co-author of the UPS Privacy Policy that was made available to the public in April 1999. He is actively involved in international issues regarding the security and privacy of data flows.
