MUMBAI, India: Food ingredients (Fi) India has concluded another successful edition,
consolidating its position as the industry's only meeting place and driving
the Indian processed food sector.
Running since 2006, Fi India is the meeting place for all stakeholders of
India's food ingredients industry. What started as a small conference in 2006
in Mumbai is now the leading event of the industry, recording continuous
growth and bringing together thousands of buyers and sellers every year.
More than 4,500 food professionals attended the show, held in Bombay
Exhibition Centre, Mumbai last weekend. As every year, the 5th edition of Fi
India has welcomed senior decision makers from leading food manufacturers,
both regional and international.
The exhibition has featured new and innovative ingredients from India and
around the globe and provided different networking opportunities. The
exhibition format proved to be highly beneficial in India's
relationship-driven business culture, providing great value for both
exhibitors and visitors. 82% of stand space for the 2011 show was already
allocated on-site at Fi India, showing strong customer satisfaction.
Fi India 2010 also covered the most critical issues in the Indian Food &
Beverage industry, with a conference running alongside the exhibition. Topics
included regulatory framework governing food safety and health claims in
India, latest consumer trends and cold-chain challenges.
Fi India 2010 has enjoyed the support of the ministry for the Food
Processing Industries. The next edition of Fi India will take place on 3 - 4
October 2011 in Mumbai.
