PR Newswire | 07 May, 2010

WASHINGTON, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) today announced the 2010 E3 Expo will be the world's most exciting platform for interactive entertainment software and hardware news and launches, citing strong exhibitor participation and robust attendee registration. E3 Expo will take place June 15-17, 2010 at the Los Angeles Convention center. ESA officials noted strong interest and registrations for E3 Expo passes prior to the early registration deadline of May 3, 2010. Attendees can still receive E3 Expo passes up until the day of the show.

"The world is coming to the E3 Expo this June. With groundbreaking announcements expected from computer and video game publishers and developers, this year's E3 Expo is going to be the main event for the entertainment industry in 2010," said Michael D. Gallagher, president and CEO of the ESA, which represents U.S. computer and video game publishers and owns E3 Expo. "Major retailers, investor analyst firms, and media from the United States and over 60 countries are already committed to attending."

"This summer, the ESA will host the biggest and best E3 ever," said Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello. "All the best games and all the best developers will be together in LA to unveil new titles and celebrate the creativity and new technology that makes gaming so much fun."

This year's E3 will be the launching pad for hardware and software innovations that could change the industry for years," commented Michael Pachter, managing director, Equity Research at Wedbush Securities.
