HERNDON: Audi of America and SkyGrid have launched the 24 Hours of Le Mans Experience so that people using SkyGrid for iPad can access the latest news and high-definition multimedia Audi content related to the grueling motorsports event as it unfolds in France this weekend.
The 24 Hours of Le Mans stands as the world's oldest endurance race, dating back to 1923. Audi teams have won the storied competition eight of the past 10 years. Final preparations for the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans are underway this week, with the race beginning June 12 at 9 am U.S. EDT. To bring the drama and strategy of the race to life this year, Audi turned to SkyGrid, which is the only stream-browsing experience on the Web today. The resulting exclusive experience is the first iPad application of its kind for any automaker.
