WASHINGTON: For more than 25 years, the wireless industry has looked to CTIA's annual spring event to drive its product and planning cycles. CTIA - The Wireless Association has announced that International CTIA WIRELESS will take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando from March 22-24, 2011, and the show will return to the Las Vegas Convention Center March 27-29, 2012.

International CTIA WIRELESS 2010 brought more than 39,000 attendees to Las Vegas to discuss the latest trends in mobile broadband, devices and applications. Along with scores of international exhibitors and country pavilions, 20 percent of show participants traveled from outside the U.S. to attend. In a survey conducted after the show, nearly 60 percent of attendees indicated that they planned to make a purchase or pursue a partnership as a direct result of the show.

Exhibitors at International CTIA WIRELESS 2010 claimed a high degree of satisfaction with the event's impact on their businesses. Eighty-three percent of exhibitors disclosed that they had met or exceeded their goals for the show, with 82 percent characterizing show attendees and lead quality as good to excellent.

"Retailers, carriers, manufacturers and application developers depend on International CTIA WIRELESS to launch new offerings and buy new products early in the year," said Robert Mesirow, vice president and show director for CTIA. "Wireless innovators from more than 125 countries attend annually to participate in our global marketplace."
