The 10 points agenda provided by the new government is inspiring and would go a long way to foster strong, stable and inclusive India, said Sharad Jaipuria, President, PHD Chamber in a press statement issued in New Delhi on Thursday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given his Council of Ministers a 10-point road map to steer the economy out of a slumber, place an increased focus on infra and revive the overall confidence in bureaucracy. The 10 point agenda of the government include:

1)  Reforms in infrastructure and investment areas
2)  Addressing concerns relating to the economy
3)  Promoting e-auction to push transparency
4)  Reviving confidence in bureaucracy
5)  Focusing on innovative ideas in the government and work freedom for officials
6)  Bringing a people-oriented system in government machinery
7)  Health, water, education, roads, energy priority areas
8)  Sorting inter-ministerial issues through efficient system
9)  Bringing stability and sustainability in govt policy
10)Executing policies in a time-bound manner

"Transparency in government and confidence in bureaucracy would improve business environment and help industry to rejuvenate and expand further. The improvement in industry scenario would increase employability of manufacturing firms and would lead to job creation in the economy," said Jaipuria.

Reforms in infrastructure and investments would make India an attractive destination and improve its international competitiveness whereas focus on education, health, water, energy and roads will improve the quality of life and standards of living and improvement in overall human development of the country, he said.

There is a need to check the effectiveness of various ongoing socio-economic development programmes and define their deliverables and outcomes in a time bound manner, added jaipuria.

System for inter-ministerial issues would be critical to percolate the effective policy measures towards the grassroots, said the industry body.

There are many projects which have been cleared by Cabinet Committee on Investments (CCI) but have not been rolled out due to lack coordination between central and state governments while giving clearances and implementing projects. Hence, time bound single window system of clearances at centre and state level should be undertaken on top priority.

"We look forward to implementation of 10 points agenda and making India an attractive investment destination for Industrialists both domestic and overseas and push India Growth Story on high road in the coming times," he added.
