Sunil Vachani, an eminent industrialist having manufacturing and distribution interests in consumer electronics exports and IT products has become the Chairman of Electronics and Computer Software Export promotion Council (ESC) for the period 2009 -2011.
 
Vachani is the Chairman and Managing Director of Dixon Technologies (India) Pvt. Limited, which have manufacturing bases in seven States including UP, Punjab, Uttranchal and J&K. WESTON, one of the oldest brand in the consumer electronics in India, particularly in TV, belongs to his family.
 
An MBA from American College of London in UK, Vachani is also Honorary Consul of Republic of Benin. Young and dynamic, Vachani has endowed with strong entrepreneurial talent and business leadership, which has helped him to expand & diversify the business. Currently, there are 250 people working in various manufacturing bases across the country.
 
Vachani is taking over the Chairmanship of ESC at a critical time when ICT exports from the country has taken a hit on account of the global meltdown.

"We are committed to evolve newer strategies and ideations for the IT sector in general and small and medium IT enterprises in particular to rough up the harrowing times that they are facing," said Vachani.
 
The other office-bearers of ESC include S Radhakrishnan, Prem M Goel and Vinod Sharma as the new Vice Chairmen of the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council.
